Our Specialized Services

Evidence-Based Programming

Why are so many agencies struggling to provide truly individualized groups, maintain compliance with 2060 standards, and keep up with ongoing staffing challenges all at the same time?

Under Illinois Administrative Code Title 77 §2060.440(d), treatment plans must be individualized and clinically relevant to the specific needs of each client—not simply generalized programming delivered the same way to everyone. Yet many organizations are attempting to meet these expectations while simultaneously facing staffing shortages, high caseloads, documentation demands, and increasing regulatory pressure.

At 2060 Clinical Integrity Solutions, we design, implement, and facilitate individualized clinical groups that align with the rigorous standards of Illinois Administrative Code Title 77 Section 2060—helping organizations strengthen compliance, reduce the burden on internal staff, improve treatment quality, and support meaningful client outcomes.

Independent Utilization Chart Audits

Are we truly meeting 2060 standards—or are we simply hoping we are?

Many organizations are working hard to stay compliant while balancing staffing shortages, high caseloads, and day-to-day operational demands. One area that is often misunderstood is the difference between a traditional clinical chart audit and a Utilization Management (UM) audit.

Under Illinois Administrative Code Title 77 §2060.340(c)(1), Utilization Management reviews are intended to evaluate medical necessity, appropriateness of placement, continued stay, and the overall effectiveness and efficiency of services provided. In other words, a UM audit goes beyond checking whether paperwork is completed. It examines whether the client is receiving the right level of care, at the right time, for the right clinical reasons.

A clinical audit may focus more heavily on documentation elements such as signatures, treatment plan updates, progress note completion, linkage, timelines, and overall compliance with clinical documentation standards. While both are important, they serve different purposes within a strong quality and compliance system.

Our expert auditors provide objective assessments of your clinical operations, identifying gaps and recommending actionable steps to help your organization strengthen systems, improve clinical integrity, and achieve full 2060 compliance.

Audit Readiness & Operational Walkthroughs

Is your organization truly audit-ready—or are there operational gaps hiding in plain sight?

Many agencies focus heavily on documentation compliance while unintentionally overlooking environmental, operational, and walkthrough-related compliance risks that can impact safety, quality of care, staff accountability, and accreditation outcomes. Walkthrough compliance is more than simply observing a program—it involves actively evaluating whether daily operations align with Illinois Administrative Code Title 77 Section 2060, organizational policies, and accrediting body expectations such as The Joint Commission standards.

This includes reviewing areas such as staff presence and supervision, group structure and flow, patient rights postings, confidentiality practices, medication processes, safety concerns, environmental conditions, infection control, documentation accessibility, staff interactions, and whether actual practices align with written policies and procedures.

At 2060 Clinical Integrity Solutions, we offer tailored consulting services designed to help organizations navigate the complexities of substance abuse treatment regulations while strengthening clinical and operational quality. Through objective walkthrough assessments, compliance reviews, staff guidance, and actionable recommendations, we help organizations identify gaps, improve systems, prepare for audits, and build a stronger culture of compliance and accountability aligned with 2060 standards and accrediting expectations such as The Joint Commission.

Our individualized evidence-based programming helps organizations meet the rigorous expectations of Illinois Administrative Code Title 77 Section 2060 while maintaining a strong focus on quality care, clinical integrity, and meaningful patient outcomes.

We partner with you to strengthen audit readiness, reduce the stress surrounding surveys and inspections, support overwhelmed staff, and help ensure that when your organization is audited, you are prepared, confident, organized, and positioned for success.
